Message From Dr. Eli

Dr. Eli Lizorkin-Eyzenberg Dear participants in Jewish Studies for Christians study group, shalom!

First, I wanted to thank you all for taking part in so many discussions throughout the blog! It’s been nothing short of exhilarating to interact with you, something that I very much love to do. Just by the way of update I am now preparing ch.6 of the Gospel of John. I promise you that a lot of exciting discoveries await you as we continue to walk through this Gospel step-by-step.

Second, I wanted to invite you to consider taking a course in Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek through eTeacher/Hebrew University of Jerusalem online that hosts and promotes Jewish Studies for Christians Study Group. Half of the participants of our study group are current students of eTeacher and Hebrew University of Jerusalem program and many believe that the decision to enroll was one of the best choices in life that they have ever made. I believe that you will also share their persuasion.

Ask one of our academic advisors to touch base with you, so that you can find out about the costs, the length, the levels and get more general information about what you can do to be able to read the Bible in the original. Simply fill out a short form found here.

Thank you for your encouragement to study Hebrew.
For a while I have been trying on my own. At least to be familiar with the alefbet before enrolling with eteacher on line. That certainly helped. Learning a few Hebrew songs was also a great help to get started. There is so much to learn and be enthralled by as the language unfolds before me.
Visiting Israel to hear it spoken just adds to my appetite to hear more. I am thoroughly enjoying every lesson. Looking forward to my next visit to Israel.

That is so wonderful to hear!

I first began to study Hebrew,to realize my desire to deepen my knowledge not only of this unique language, and its origins, but also to further understand the meaning of Biblical texts. I feel the Hebrew language is a miracle in itself, in its longevity, as is the Land of Israel.

With these Courses from eTeacher all my needs for this are met. I appreciate the excellent quality of the teaching, the background from which it comes, and have found it has deepened my understanding of the people of Israel. I study both Biblical and Modern Hebrew, and in both courses I have enjoyed interactions with other students in the online format, making good friends, with equal enthusiasm for learning. The materials are excellent, and the facilities online make a Virtual University campus seem a reality. Communications with the teachers, and staff, are excellent, they always ready and helpful.

    Highly recommended by myself!

As one of these students you wrote about, I endorse your recommendation. From my perspective, Biblical Hebrew is surprisingly beautiful and I wish I could go faster, to read more. THANK YOU for encouraging me to sign up when you did. These studies are a light in my life, and your blog a great encouragement.
